Not all wounds are visible 💙

June is PTSD Awareness Month. Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) can come with a whole host of distressing symptoms that interfere with daily life. These recurring traumatic memories make it difficult for trauma survivors to move forward and feel peace.

DBT teaches tangible skills, like mindfulness and distress tolerance, that are needed to cope with PTSD in a healthy way. With practice and patience, DBT helps to ease the grip of PTSD, so that you can achieve the life and relationships you want to have.

PTSD is not a life sentence. PTSD does not need to last a lifetime. You can overcome this with the right skills and the right help!
